The Top 3 Foods To Go With Cream

To paraphrase Homer Simpson ‘mmmmm, cream’. There really is nothing like whipping up the best cream chargers available and indulging yourself in the most decadent way possible. Able to be matched with virtually any food (sweet, obviously – we’re not suggesting you blog the clotted cream on your steak), cream really is just top notch. That’s why we’ve put together the top three foodstuffs to go with cream. Keep reading. Feel hungry. Eat a lot. Simples.

Number 3 – Scones. Is there anything more quintessentially English that a good old fashioned afternoon tea? Alright, there is Bobby Charlton. However, taking aside the United legend, a good old fashioned mix of scones, jam and some really top-notch clotted cream takes a hell of a lot of beating. There is also the option of using squirty cream too, but we’d still recommend the clotted option. It’s absolutely flamin’ marvelous.

Number 2 – Coffee and hot chocolate. OK, this might technically count as being two, but we’re just going to run with putting it all under the umbrella of ‘hot drinks’. Anyway, who’s writing the damn thing? In coffee, single cream manages to take a drink that’s pretty good anyway, and add a real sense of luxury. Having coffee with cream first thing in the morning can make anyone feel like one of the scary ones off Dragon’s Den. Hot chocolate, meanwhile, was practically built for a layer of squirty cream on top. Also, you can add marshmallows for both the ultimate in luxury, followed by a catastrophic blood sugar crash fifteen minutes later. Sleep under the tree of sugar. Mmmmmmm.

Number 1 – Strawberries. If you were expecting any other answer to appear here, then flaggellate yourself with a rusty spanner whilst reciting the phrase ‘I know nothing about cream’. Do it in private, though. Otherwise there will be questions. There is NOTHING as wonderful as fresh strawberries covered with whatever cream you choose to use. Beautiful.
